About Us
I'm Sam Lloyd. In 1999, I started Wired Up Systems Inc., on the same day our youngest son was born, joining my older son and two daughters. I had big dreams and just enough know-how to be dangerous. My wife believed in me, but she wasn't afraid to tell me what I needed to hear. She was right: I had a lot to learn about running a business. I learned it the hard way, and I'm grateful she stood by me. She helped support our family in getting the business running, one tough and beautiful lady.
Over the years, friends, neighbors, and even strangers have asked me for electrical advice. It got me thinking about how many people face a problem with nowhere to turn and don't even know what to ask. I've been there, and I know how that feels. So often, people Google and watch hours of YouTube and still wonder whether they did it right and safely. We have a lot of information at our fingertips, and yet we need the assurance that it is safe and up to code.
So, I'm here to help. I'll give you honest, practical answers in plain language, so you can fix it yourself or talk to an electrical contractor with confidence and know what you're getting.
