Wired Up Systems Inc — Client Agreement: Consulting Disclaimer & Release of Liability | Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Please read before your consulting session. By booking, paying for, or joining a session, you (the "Client") agree to these terms with Wired Up Systems Inc ("we," "us"). Part A contains a release of liability. Read it carefully.
PART A — CONSULTING DISCLAIMER & RELEASE
1. Advice only. We give electrical advice and guidance to help you understand a problem, plan a project, and know what to ask. We do not perform, install, repair, or inspect electrical work, visit your property, or act as your contractor, engineer, or inspector. We do not provide engineering services, sealed drawings, or designs for permit submission. A session does not create a contractor-customer relationship; any on-site work requires a separate written contract. These terms apply to all advice we give, including follow-up emails, texts, and messages. We have no duty to update past advice if codes or conditions change.
2. Your responsibility. You are responsible for every decision and action you take. You agree to follow the North Carolina State Electrical Code, North Carolina law, and local codes; obtain all permits and inspections required by law; hire a licensed electrical contractor when required by law or when unsure; turn off power and work safely; and stop and call a licensed electrician if we advise that a task is not safe for you to do.
3. Your representations. You confirm that the information, photos, and documents you give us are accurate and complete; that you own the property or have the owner's or landlord's permission for any work; and that you have authority to sign for any company listed below.
4. Limits of remote advice. Our advice is based only on the information and photos you give us. We cannot see hidden wiring or conditions. Codes vary by location, and the authority having jurisdiction has the final say.
5. Electricity is dangerous. Electrical work can cause fire, serious injury, or death. You accept all risks of work you do or allow others to do. In an emergency (smoke, burning smell, sparks, shock), leave the area and call 911 first, then your power company.
6. No warranties. Guidance is provided "as is." We do not promise any result, cost, timeline, or inspection outcome. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF WORKMANLIKE PERFORMANCE, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Our guidance is not legal, engineering, or insurance advice.
7. RELEASE AND LIMIT OF LIABILITY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, YOU RELEASE WIRED UP SYSTEMS INC, ITS OWNERS, AND EMPLOYEES FROM CLAIMS FOR INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR LOSS ARISING FROM USE OF OUR ADVICE, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM OUR ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE. This release does not apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct, and it binds your heirs, family members, and assigns. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including lost profits, repair costs, or delays). OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SESSION.
8. Indemnity. You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your project or your use of our advice, except to the extent caused by our negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Fees, cancellation, and refunds. Fees are due at booking. You may cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session for a full refund; later cancellations and missed sessions are not refunded. We may decline or end a session at any time, including if we believe a situation is unsafe or beyond remote advice; if we end a session before advice is given, we will refund your fee.
PART B — PRIVACY POLICY
1. What we collect. Contact details (name, email, phone, address); project descriptions, photos, videos, and documents you share; payment details, processed by a secure third-party company (we do not store full card numbers); and basic website data, analytics, and cookies. Please avoid capturing other people, personal documents, or security details in photos, and note that photos may contain embedded location data.
2. How we use it. Only to schedule and provide your session, answer questions and follow up, process payments and keep records, improve our services, and meet legal requirements. We may use software tools, including AI tools, to organize notes or review photos; these tools are bound to keep your information confidential.
3. What we never do. We do not sell your information or share it for others' marketing. We do not use your photos or project details in marketing, or send you marketing texts, unless you opt in below.
4. Recording. We record a session only if every participant agrees at the start of the session, and we note that consent. If our video platform offers automatic transcription or note-taking, we will tell you before it is used.
5. When we share. Only with trusted service providers who help run our business (scheduling, email, video calls, payments); with a contractor or professional if you ask us to; when required by law or to protect safety; or, if our business is sold or merged, with the new owner under this same policy.
6. Security and breaches. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is 100% secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by North Carolina law.
7. Retention. We keep session and payment records for 7 years for tax and legal purposes. We delete photos and videos within 12 months of your last session unless you ask us to keep them. Records are disposed of securely.
8. Your choices. You may ask to see, correct, or delete your information (unless law requires us to keep it) by emailing us at the address below. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days. You may unsubscribe from emails at any time, and reply STOP to end texts. Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
9. Adults only. Our services are only for adults 18 and older. If we learn we collected information from anyone under 18, we will delete it.
10. Changes. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes apply going forward only, and we will notify active clients by email.
PART C — GENERAL TERMS
1. Disputes and governing law. North Carolina law applies. Before filing suit, both parties agree to try in good faith to resolve any dispute through mediation. Unresolved disputes will be handled in the courts serving Madison County, NC.
2. General. This is the entire agreement between us; no verbal statements outside it apply. Changes must be in writing and signed by both parties. Electronic signatures are valid under the NC Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
